A MUST SEE IN CAVTAT

icon

Meet the World of Mollusca

We are honoured to present you our private collection of sea shells Glossus Humanus. We are a family of divers, travelers and great admirers of the sea. Our collection started as a decoration for nursery room for our kids and now counts over 3500 different species from all oceans of the world. As our collection increased over years and as the biodiversity decreases daily we felt obliged to offer our treasure to public and spread admiration we have for marine life and its preservation. In just one year we have become a top attraction in Cavtat, a simple must see, especialy for families with kids. Our museum is funded only by our own achivements so we can't thank you enough for your support in our quest to be the best advocates of the sea.

DIORAMA OF HOLY TOMB AND FLAG OF ST. NICOLAS

icon

Pinakoteke treasures unique gifts donated to the Cavtat parish curch of St. Nicolas, in 1902, by Vlaho Bukovac.1. A particularly striking exhibit is the diorama depicting Christ’s tomb. This intricate display recreates the scene of Christ’s burial, using artistry and symbolism to convey a powerful narrative of faith and resurrection. 2. One of Bukovac’s most intriguing works is the painted flag of St. Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors and children

Really loved our visit to this exquisite museum. The thousands of beautiful shells come from all corners of the globe. Collected and curated as a labour of love by one family, it is an absolute gem and a real reminder of what is at stake if we don't protect and love our seas. Stunning. Can't recommend highly enough.
